STATE REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR ANIMALS
The state of Missouri requires every horse and mule
traveling in Missouri to have a current NEGATIVE COGGINS
TEST in order to travel legally. Missouri requires that
a coggins test be run annually to be current. You will be
asked to show these papers upon entering our grounds and before
you will be allowed to register. This
is a state law and is strictly enforced by Cross Country Trail
Ride. Out of state animals will also need an
official 30 day health certificate which will need to be filled
out by your veterinarian to cover your stay in Missouri and your
trip home. Health papers are valid for 30 days from the date they
are received.
STALLS
We have 3,007 barn stalls available to rent. The barn stalls
are 7x10, covered, with a gate and a feed box. We
require the use of stalls and do not allow picket lines, panels,
or pens of any type. Stalls may be reserved for the use
of animals only; we do not allow you
to use stalls to store extra hay, grain, bedding, or tack. The
stall fees are $15 per stall which covers the length of your stay.
THE TRAILS (Please click
here to view our trail map)
Our trails consist mostly of old logging roads through
some of the most scenic country in the beautiful Missouri Ozarks.
They will take riders across the Jacks Fork and Current
Rivers which are known throughout the country as two of the most
pristine and scenic rivers in the United States. They are well
cut, but the terrain is rocky and very hilly; most horses will
require shoes. Even the most inexperienced rider can
ride the trails without danger of injury.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO
RECEIVE AN ATTENDANCE BUCKLE?
In order to receive your attendance buckle
you must attend for 5 years, not consecutively, and be registered
for at least 3 days at one event. If you arrive late and would
like that event to count as a year toward your buckle you may
pay for the extra days you need at the time you register. You
will not be allowed to go back at a later date and pay for these
days in order to receive a buckle! We do not allow you to register
unborn children. The buckle presentation is held on Thursday
evening during the months of May, June, August, and October.
We do not have a buckle presentation ceremony during the events
held Memorial Day, July, September, and Late Fall. During these
events you will pick up your buckle at the front gate or office.
It is not mandatory that you receive your buckle during the
presentation ceremony. You may pick it up in the front office
any time during the week.
