4th of July Celebration
July 3-6, 2008
Cross Country Trail Ride owners, Jim and Jane Smith, are proud of their country and offer this event as a celebration of the United States of America. The weekend is packed with activities such as horse shows, dances, barrel racing, and the largest fireworks display in the area! The weather is hot this time of year, but that only makes the Jacks Fork river more inviting, and since it surrounds the back side of our campground, guests have a conv
enient access in three different areas. Plus, with the town of Eminence only 1/2 mile away there is plenty of opportunity for you to rent a canoe or tube for floating. After trail riding in the morning and tubing or floating in the afternoon, a dance under the starstops off your evening. There will be a dance each evening with music provided by Jonesey or, if you prefer, take part in a jackpot horseshow sponsored by the Missouri Wild Horse League on Friday evening. Enjoy a concert by BILLY CURRINGTON on Saturday evening. The area's largest fireworks display will light up the night sky at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4th. All of this plus 3 meals per day Thursday morning through Sunday evening and camping is included in the admission for the weekend. The admission is $175 per adult, $140 per child(6-11), $75 per child(3-5), and $10 per child (2 & under). If you're unable t
o come and camp with us we offer tickets for the evening activities on Friday and Saturday. These tickets are available at the gate at 1:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The ticket prices are $10 per person Friday, $25 per person Saturday. These tickets do not include an overnight stay. Participants in the horse show will be charged the ticket price as well. Reservations are accepted for stalls only, with a deposit of $15 per stall required to make advance reservations. Camping is available on a first come basis only, however, the average attendance for this event is 1,000 to 1,200 guests leaving plenty of space for everyone. You may arrive as early as June 28, 2008 at no extra charge, however, you will need to make plans for your own meals until July 3. We hope you will make plans today to come out and celebrate our country's birth! Advance stall reservations are accepted through the mail with a personal check or by phone with a credit card. An additional $5 non-refundable processing fee is charged to all credit card reservations.
